Big Trip

My youngest son's Squirt team will be going to the Silver Stick Hockey Tournament in Pelham, ON. Wow, my 9 year old will be going to Canada ?! It's definitely a sacrifice to be sending he and my husband right after Christmas. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity, right ?

Busy Hockey Mom tried to reserve a booth at the tournament, but all the space is already gone. I guess we'll have to wait for another opportunity to go International.

The website www.busyhockeymom.com has been a big hit in the hockey mom community. Tips, recipes, featured busy hockey mom and a modest tribute to #19, Joe Sakic.

Thanksgiving Week

This is my first blog on behalf of busyhockeymom.com and I am so excited that the site is going to be live tomorrow. The idea to start a website came from many years of trial and error at being a hockey mom of 2 boys. I have found that this is a tough job that requires a lot of support and planning.

The website, blog, facebook & twitter is just a way to create and expand a conversation for hockey moms. Creating a supportive local, national and international community of busy hockey moms is my goal.

I look forward the start of a wonderful community where we can support each other and our players.
